Youth and experience. Those are two words which rarely find themselves sharing the same thought. But high school student Hank Poole is working hard to make them best friends. Hank is part of the next generation of Elvis Tribute Artists, and his passion in researching the iconic performers career, his diligent rehearsal and his love to perform are all part of his rare blend of “youth and experience!” Hank began performing for family and friends at the age of three, and his love of performing was quickly evident. Soon after Hank was being invited to share a song during the shows of other tribute artists. These opportunities to perform at concerts, birthday parties, car shows, fundraisers and any number of area events which were welcoming of music has helped Hank garner wonderful experience well beyond his young years. Mother Samantha Davis realized that Hank needed to immerse himself in the full spectrum of the Elvis Tribute Artist community, it would soon be time to travel to the hotbeds of Elvis fandom. Heading north of the border would prove to be a major step for Hank’s career. Each year Collinwood, Canada hosts one of the largest international Elvis Week celebrations in the world. Not only did Hank perform before thousands of fans during outdoor concerts in downtown Collinwood, but he also captured first place in the Youth Division of Elvis Tribute Artists! But Hank’s performances have also taken him to the foundation of Elvis history, performing multiple shows in both Elvis’ birthplace of Tupelo, MS and his longtime home of Memphis, TN. Hank has also performed in Branson, MO and placed second in the Youth Division of the Branson Elvis Festival. And one must also add numerous shows at fairs and festivals throughout West Virginia and Ohio. Hank has worked meticulously to recreate some of the most beloved performances from all the different eras of Elvis’ historic career. Complete with costume changes from the 1950s through the 1970s! And when Hank is not working diligently to recreate the music of Elvis, he is involved with other kids in his age group and active in live musical performances with High Schools That Rock. So as one can see, young Hank Poole has packed years of experience into a great, family friendly show that is destined to keep the spirit of Elvis’ performances alive for years to come!
